Sorry but snakes and bugs don't rate high enough for cruelty. I have used a bug zapper and if they sold a snake zapper I would purchase one.
Add the propane shortage stories to the snake story and it reminds me of my uncle. He had a heck of a “snake zapper”. He drove a propane truck. That stuff comes out of the hose well belonw zero. He walked to the rear of the truck about to make a delivery and saw a snake on the ground. He sprayed it with propane. It froze the snake stiff. He broke into pieces.
I saw a mosquito zapper that uses a radar to locate them and then a laser to zap them out of the sky
I want one sooooooooooooooo bad~!
And, yet, they can relate to kindness.
Take the case of the bass fisherman who, after running out of worms, saw a cottonmouth nearby with a frog in its mouth. Knowing that bass love frogs, he figured he could approach the snake without fear as long as it had something in its mouth.
Grabbing the snake behind the head, he freed the frog for bait, but realized he may risk a bite in letting the snake go. So, he produced the pint bottle of Jack Daniels he always carried and poured a bit in the snake’s mouth. The snake immediately went limp and he let it go safely.
Later, still fishing, the man felt a tug on his pant leg. Looking down, there he saw the snake had returned, with two frogs.
