Walter Lippmann goes digital.
You pretty much nailed it, that is what they’re doing. When I was writing this earlier I considered inserting Reagan’s famous line about “they know so much that isn’t so” because it is illustrative. I wanted to write as little as possible with this entry though.
This is how people come to know things with such certainty, even when those things are flatly false. It is coming in large part from the media.
The survey result that stood out to me the most is this:
“You’re not completely proud of your country’s history”
The stereotype behind this statement is of course the usual progressive sneer toward the American Founding. That’s not what makes me less than proud, the Founding the best part.
I have read directly from the source people such as Wilson, Sanger, both Roosevelts(Theodore and Franklin), Dewey, Lippmann, Croly, and many others. When you read unfiltered progressivism the lack of pride becomes inevitable.
Just goes to show you the true color of the stereotype that they are using.(in all cases)
