“America needs to bring back American jobs.”

Cannot unless America gets rid of unions. They are the main reason for all this mess.

Let’s see:

Unions. Or the Peoples Republic of China.

Hmm. Just saying...

WASHINGTON, March 26 [2009] (UPI) -- The continuing tensions over Russia's refusal to sell its state-of-the-art land warfare advanced weapons systems to China hasn't interrupted the rhythm of major joint military exercises between the two major land powers on the Eurasian landmass. The latest in the regular, biennial series of exercises between the two nations has been confirmed for this summer.

The next in the now well-established series of exercises called Peace Mission 2009 will be carried out in northeastern China, the Russian Defense Ministry announced March 18, according to a report carried by the RIA Novosti news agency.

The first bilateral Peace Mission maneuvers -- described at the time as counter-terrorism exercises -- were held in Russia and the eastern Chinese province of Shandong in August 2005.

As we reported at that time, they were a lot bigger than mere counter-terrorism exercises. Warships, squadrons of combat aircraft and more than 10,000 troops were involved carrying out landings against hypothetically hostile shores. The maneuvers also involved large-scale paratroops drops. The scale and nature of those exercises suggested a trial run for a possible Chinese invasion of Taiwan with Russian support. ..."

The key challenge is getting the materials and fuel from the supply ships to the task force ships while underway.

Good morning.

Dumb question. Are the fighters pictured land based, carrier based, or photoshopped?

Not a dumb question. I want to see flight ops. I don't care if I'm 5 miles away, I want to see just ONE carrier landing, and I don't care what type of aircraft.

Just saying what?

Selfish commie unions are why we are going down the drain. Never mind commies outside the border, commies inside are even more dangerous.

In some small office in Washington, some analyst has already ran the scenario against fighting against the new fleet. Those ships have already been sunk, its sailors rescued and political response made.

Then again, the political response was probably an apology from out courageous CIC.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama assured China’s heir apparent to leadership that the United States welcomes Beijing’s rise in the world, saying Tuesday that strong cooperation between the two powers is good for the rest of the world.

Just saying you are completely ignoring the billion person union called the Peoples Republic of China, which is rapidly rising up in your face.

Don’t disregard China.

It is potentially a fearsome opponent.

Unions are a bother. China is potentially a game-stopper.

Just saying. This forum completely ignores China’s potential.

I am simply trying to bring the focus back to America. We did just fine for a couple hundred years, but we are failing now. I know our economy looks like it’s doing well, but we now have 17 trillion dollars in foreign debt, and that is (rapidly) increasing.

We will never completely eliminate unions. However we must keep an eye on other threats, and China is a huge one, potentially.

Huge.

I never ignore China.

You talked specifically about Chinese workers and bringing back American jobs. I responded to that.

That includes the fact that the union mentality (communist) has led both to sending jobs away and left us more vulnerable and less independent. Never mind the increasing animosity to capitalism (evil business) engendered by these selfish boobs. Thus animosity to their own country, because it was based in freedom allowing people to hire and fire as they wished (freedom of association, if you will). On and on.

Gee I really hope we're not banking on the Chinese NOT figuring out logistics in order for us to keep a military advantage.

For the life of me, I can't understand why we (collectively) continue to underestimate the Chinese and their capacity and capability. Other than arrogance based upon the past, we should be concerned. They are stronger financially, they are learning quickly through us giving them technology and what we don't give them, they steal anyway.

They can produce stuff rapidly and have massive manpower to scale up. They've got us by the balls from a financial perspective and any conflict means US companies shutting down plants there, decimating the economy worldwide.

My point: Do NOT under-estimate the Chinese nor any other enemy.

I agree, but the people who outsourced so much of America’s manufacturing are (in part) the very same people who support the GOP.

So the GOP is (in part) in effect responsible for high unemployment.

America needs jobs. Lots, and lots of jobs.

We exported them ... TO CHINA.

Our side has done nothing, to reverse this. Because our side has partly driven the entire process.

America needs jobs.

Bring back American jobs.

The GOP needs to be for America.

God help us, if Democrats discover this idea before we do.

That’s all I’m saying.

Go in any store, and look at the tags on all the goods.

All of them will say:

“Made in China”.

Everything. Everywhere.

Been on this story since it was first announced on January 1st:

See:

Chinese Navy (PLAN) exercises it's Carrier Strike Group
with it's LPD and escorts, including two SSNs

That site includes my analysis.

One of the main reasons the Chinese released these pics when they did was because of their desire to pre-empt the upcoming Indian Navy exercises with her two aircraft carriers, which has now also occurred on January 5th and been reported.

Indian Navy exercises it's two Carrier Strike Groups
with seven DDG and FFG escorts and an AOR

Many more pictures at those two sites.

I posted both of those reports here to FR too.

See my post 38 and visit the links there.

The Chinese put these pictures out to offset and pre-empt the exercises that were performed starting January 5th by the Indian Navy with their two carriers, including their new one, the INS Vikramaditya.

American’s wonder why the price of scrap metal has been so high these past years? Where do they think this scrap metal has been and continues to go?

You’re looking at it in these photos.
