We moved in June from Solano County to Arizona (Scottsdale), which meets all three of the stated criteria.
If you fear the hot summers of Phoenix consider: Prescott, Flagstaff and other areas all of which are 10-15 degrees cooler than Phoenix.
Mild correction: it is not a fear, unfortunately. I take medications for seizures on a twice daily basis, and one of the triggers appears to be a heat sensitivity. Happened last year in early June and I wound up in the ER after a massive one where I had bitten through My tongue.
Not an experience I wish to undergo again, and not the first time it had happened, unfortunately.
And yes I am still in NorCal. Thank you for the suggestion. I actually have a sibling in Arizona that I was thinking of stopping by to visit on the way back, so I just might email and see what they think.
I just left Solano County 6 weeks ago. I retired from the AF at Travis AFB, then retired from 25 years at CSP Solano, on Peabody Road in Vacaville, but I went a WHOLE lot further than AZ.
