“.... America has a higher percentage of minorities than most other First World countries.”

And shouldn’t that say quite a bit about our culture of fairness and the ability of a man to prove himself through the content of his character than any other country and will lead the world in equal opportunity.

I can think of no other country which celebrates the accomplished man and do so ignoring his pigmentation.

Heck, we’ll even let a man develop the most outrageous “Reality TV” persona and elect him, with no regard for his lack of accomplishment or a resume which cannot even be Google.

We’ll argue over the color of his politics and overlook the color of his skin.

This is America , not some caste society.

Why would we care about anything but what he can do for us? Double entendre intended.

No, it says a lot about our stupidity that we think that we can change the racial, ethnic, and cultural mix in this country and not suffer any repercussions,--past, present, and future. The Civil War, the civil rights movement of 1960s, the political polarization of ethinic and racial groups today, and the Balkanization of this country in the future are the price we pay for multiculturalism.

We are creating a permanent underclass populated mostly by blacks and Hispanics. When you look at the metrics of education, employment, income, net worth, welfare use, out of wedlock births, incarceration, etc. it is readily apparent that we are creating a huge time bomb. The flash mobs of today will become the riots of the future.

In 2012 Obama received 73% of the Asian vote, 71% of the Hispanic vote, and 95% of the black vote. He only received 39% of the non-Hispanic white vote. And these trends predated Obama as far as how minorities vote re Dems and Reps.

87% of the 1.2 million legal immigrants who enter annually are minorities as defined by the USG. In 1970 one in 21 was foreign born in this country; today it is one in 8 the highest in 90 years; and in a decade it will be one in 7 the highest in our history. There are 45 million foreign born in this country. Immigrants and minorities vote more than two to one Dem.

International Migration is Projected to Become Primary Driver of U.S. Population Growth for First Time in Nearly Two Centuries

"International migration is projected to surpass natural increase (births minus deaths) as the principal driver of U.S. population growth by the middle of this century, according to three new series of population projections released today by the U.S. Census Bureau. This scenario would mark the first time that natural increase was not the leading cause of population increase since at least 1850, when the census began collecting information about residents' country of birth. The shift in what drives U.S. population growth is projected to occur between 2027 and 2038, depending on the future level of international migration."

U.S. Census Bureau Projections Show a Slower Growing, Older, More Diverse Nation a Half Century from Now

"The U.S. population will be considerably older and more racially and ethnically diverse by 2060, according to projections released today by the U.S. Census Bureau. These projections of the nation’s population by age, sex, race and Hispanic origin, which cover the 2012-2060 period, are the first set of population projections based on the 2010 Census.

“The next half century marks key points in continuing trends — the U.S. will become a plurality nation, where the non-Hispanic white population remains the largest single group, but no group is in the majority,” said Acting Director Thomas L. Mesenbourg.

The non-Hispanic white population is projected to peak in 2024, at 199.6 million, up from 197.8 million in 2012. Unlike other race or ethnic groups, however, its population is projected to slowly decrease, falling by nearly 20.6 million from 2024 to 2060.

Meanwhile, the Hispanic population would more than double, from 53.3 million in 2012 to 128.8 million in 2060. Consequently, by the end of the period, nearly one in three U.S. residents would be Hispanic, up from about one in six today.

The black population is expected to increase from 41.2 million to 61.8 million over the same period. Its share of the total population would rise slightly, from 13.1 percent in 2012 to 14.7 percent in 2060.

The Asian population is projected to more than double, from 15.9 million in 2012 to 34.4 million in 2060, with its share of nation's total population climbing from 5.1 percent to 8.2 percent in the same period.

Among the remaining race groups, American Indians and Alaska Natives would increase by more than half from now to 2060, from 3.9 million to 6.3 million, with their share of the total population edging up from 1.2 percent to 1.5 percent. The Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander population is expected to nearly double, from 706,000 to 1.4 million. The number of people who identify themselves as being of two or more races is projected to more than triple, from 7.5 million to 26.7 million over the same period.

The U.S. is projected to become a majority-minority nation for the first time in 2043. While the non-Hispanic white population will remain the largest single group, no group will make up a majority.

All in all, minorities, now 37 percent of the U.S. population, are projected to comprise 57 percent of the population in 2060. (Minorities consist of all but the single-race, non-Hispanic white population.) The total minority population would more than double, from 116.2 million to 241.3 million over the period.

This is America , not some caste society.

It is becoming one. Europe is rejecting multiculturalism and we should do likewise. The assimilation process is no longer working, mainly do to the huge numbers and persistently high immigration, primarily from the Third World. We don't have a merit based immigration system, but rather a kinship based one. The 1965 Immigration Act changed the demographics of this country forever. It will be our undoing.
