Political correctness is a hugely successful campaign that has effectively altered traditional standards of behavior in order to advance the political agenda of mostly left-leaning groups. From gay rights, to feminism to open borders, PC rules dictate that you conform with the prevailing group-think at the risk of social ostracism.

" PC rules dictate that you conform with the prevailing group-think at the risk of social ostracism. "

Well then, I celebrate diversity.... I am a ostracisie... opposed to political correctness as in I celebrate my alternate thinking.

Some things we call “PC” are simply our way of placing a curb on the tongue; both ourselves and others. “PC” becomes a real problem when people use it to effect others’ livelihoods negatively, carrying a grudge to no end when they are offended by another’s language.

I am convinced every person holds in their heart many things that never issue forth from the mouth, and yet are no less dastardly. The other side of things is how thin-skinned some people are when offensive language (whether truly or potentially), sounds out.

A civil society will try to tone down vulgarities, and yet treat one another with some understanding when conditions deteriorate. Besides, there happens to be some fine humor when those who are overtly uncouth speak their mind in the presence of those who are overly genteel, verbal fireworks notwithstanding.

Pimping old material.

It’s what Nancy does best.

She got thoroughly busted (by some incredibly astute FReeper) pimping a two year old article here on FR back in 2011.

My goodness!

After having been so soundly whipped I’m surprised she had the nerve to show her face here again.
