The two factors feed on each other - the increasing powers and opacity of government fuel the paranoia, some of it justified, by those pushing conspiracy theories. But in the end, a conspiracy theory has to have a certain level of plausibility that fit the facts and/or observations that we have and not just be regurgitated nonsense like many of the FEMA camp pictures that were anything but upon further research.
Who needs Fema camps when the border fence is used against us and to deny us exit passport due to taxation and not against illegal invaders...
