Obama got his massive health reform bill through congress in 2010 and then was re-elected 2012 and it was no small achievement.
And up until October 1st we been living in the world of freebee land : free employer insurance paid birth control, children up to 26 can stay on parents policies and those with pre-existing conditions taken care of by a special (temporary) Obama-care fund.
And when it did get fully implemented we were assured that millions of uninsured Americans would be insured for free or partially subsided and our premiums would go down at the same time we got ‘better’ benefits. Who could object to Santa Claus ?
Here’s the top five Obama-care promises listed at

1. The law won’t raise taxes on families making less than $250,000 a year
2. If you like your health plan, you can keep it.
3. It will protect Medicare
4. It will cut premiums by $2,500.
5. It will bend the cost curve down and reduce the deficit.
But come October 1, 2013 Obama-care was finally born.
And while we got a ~ $400 million dollar broken website out of it, hundreds of thousands soon to be millions of Americans are getting notices that their current Health insurance policies can no longer be offered and that to get the same benefits as they are used to and happy with they must buy an alternative with higher premiums and or much higher deductibles. They also have the option of trying to make it through that broken Obama-care website to ‘shop around’ for an alternative, good luck there.
So Obama-care is really NOT free to us, in fact it cost many of us much more. It cost us lots more. They lied over and over about it.
Who could have guessed this? Who would know that the government doesn't do things for 'free'? That more than 'the rich' would be forced to pay for it? Totally unexpected.
BTW : At the bottom of the health care .gov website it says “A federal government website managed by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. 7500 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21244” . Yep, Maryland based Federal government employees show the nation the quality of their work over at Social Security Boulevard.

amazing that even cnbc is doing very critical reporting of Obama saying you can keep your plan if you like it.

The word ‘CLUSTERF*CK’ was invented for boondoggles like these.
It's a traumatic thing to lose a doctor that KNOWS YOUR HISTORY and KNOWS YOU like no other doctor could. This is by far the most upsetting thing about 0bamacare for some, undoubtedly.
Thats implied by keeping your insurance.
Not totally unexpected, but given that most conservatives knew this, that all republicans voted against this, and that most people with common sense understood it would cost more....
WHY THE HELL COULD WE NOT GET THE MESSAGE OUT?
One of my clients was just ranting today at me about how her premiums tripled and she has to change surgeons in the middle of her recovery period, because she can’t keep her current doctors.
I think much of this goes back to something David Horowitz highlighted in his book Liberal Fascism on page 217.

The liberal worship of the State blinds them to the fallacies of what it fails to do...just as the worship of Allah blinds muslims to the evil it truly creates.
In both cases they have removed God from the public square and replaced it with the worship of Cesar/Baal. The democrats have convinced millions that they can create heaven on earth. It is an old story and one that never ends well.
Many were uninsured, prices were going up and many who were insured were scared they would lose it. The idea is popular in the abstract just like the minimum wage is.
In comes Obama with freebees and great sounding promises and all the freebees are before 2012 election, all the nasty medicine is after he is re-elected.

Now Obama’s safely re-elected. His legacy is Obamacare. He has to see it through.
I have learned from parenting four kids there are times that giving advice just doesn't work until they try something and realize for themselves it is the wrong choice.
Well... I’m shocked I tell you...
My observation of liberals is they are very child like. Liberals look for a quick fix to a problem they perceive, no thought to fall out or long-term consequences. If they don’t get their own way they are prone to temper tantrums, and yes usually they have to learn things the hard way. Some things they never learn and when they do find out something is a disaster they never want to admit it.
Quickly, the Reality of ObamaScare made her smile disappear!
