House Republicans will receive a briefing from Health and Human Services officials about the glitch-filled Obamacare website after being excluded from a meeting in which Democrats were given details about the troubled launch.
Its not clear why Republicans were excluded in the first place, but we look forward to getting answers to how the administration botched this enormous use of taxpayer dollars so badly, said Brendan Buck, a spokesman for Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio.
Gary Cohen, who handles insurance oversight for HHS, briefed House Democrats earlier Wednesday.
Buck said he would announce details of the Republican meeting when they become available.
The briefings on Capitol Hill come as Republicans and Democrats alike express growing frustration with the problem-plagued rollout of the federal website for public health exchanges.
Republicans have continually ripped the administration for not initially including them in discussions about the websites technical snags.
We still don't know these enrollment numbers, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., told reporters earlier Wednesday. "And HHS is blocking third-party verified traffic data. This is not transparency and this is adding to the confusion and the fear surrounding the rollout of Obamacare."
The White House has been unable to identify the cause of the problems or even how long it will take to correct the issues.
Four contractors responsible for the implementation of the website will testify on Capitol Hill Thursday. And HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will answer questions from lawmakers next Wednesday.
Obviously, they will be given different info than the Rats get. The Dems were probably talking about how to blame the GOP. How crooked is this Regime?
How about one briefing for all.
Feds ask Blue Cross Blue Shield not to release exchange numbers "FARGO The Obama administration asked North Dakotas largest health insurer not to publicize how many people have signed up for health insurance through a new online exchange, a company official says.
During a Monday forum in Fargo for people interested in signing up for coverage via the exchange, James Nichol of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota told the crowd his company received the request from the federal government earlier Monday. Nichol is a consumer sales manager for the company.
Still, a spokeswoman from Blue Cross Blue Shield says about 14 North Dakotans have signed up for coverage since the federal exchange went live Oct. 1. That brings total statewide enrollment to 20 less than one a day.
Spokeswoman Andrea Dinneen said Tuesday that while Blue Cross generally does not release its internal sales numbers, it has in this case because the problematic rollout of the federal health care exchange is a unique situation.
Dinneen said she didnt have any information about the directive that Nichol referenced Monday night.
An official from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, one of the main the federal agencies handling the federal marketplace, would not directly address questions about the request made of Blue Cross Blue Shield, including whether other insurers were also asked to keep quiet about enrollment..................."
Oh, it's clear enough.
So where are the Republican “leaders” during this BozoCare fiasco????
Why aren’t they out there BLAMING all of this on Obama.. E-V-E-R-Y-D-A-Y....????
You know the RATs would be GREAT EVERYDAY at the ‘BLAME GAME’... in fact they do it E-V-E-R-Y-D-A-Y!!!
Yeah, why wouldn't they want to share full information with both parties?
"... but we look forward to getting answers to how the administration botched this enormous use of taxpayer dollars so badly, said Brendan Buck, a spokesman for Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio.
Oh. Oh yeah.
How about, because go-along get-along Boehner is not in anyone's face about it constantly, hour after hour, day after day?
Boehner is much to passive about leading. He should be out in front publicly demanding briefings, not sitting back waiting to be invited to a briefing.
He's not a "Speaker," he's the Whisperer of the House!

Meeting in which Democrats were asked how much should we spend on bribes for the Rinos is more like it.
This scheme is a disaster! Yesterday Sebilious admitted that they need 4 more years of building and testing before anything will be ready for a roll out! Four years!!! Hundreds of thousands of Americans have had their coverage cancelled. Millions have seen their premiums take double digit jumps and at the same time they've seen deductibles and out of pocket maximums go through the roof! These people will be ready to raise hell against the people who brought this fiasco down on their heads and the GOPe says nothing!!! Rubio was out yesterday with plans to fix obamacare!
We need several hundred Ted Cruz's!
Really? You were excluded because it was a strategy session on the weekend talking points that will be used to blame the problems on Republicans. Listen for "Republican sabotage" to be used at least 20 times during every interview.
Info will be different.

Remarks by the President Before Meeting with Cabinet Members
Cabinet Room11:17 A.M. EDT
THE PRESIDENT: Well, obviously were missing a few members of our Cabinet here today. In particular, John Kerry is overseas meeting on a topic that weve been spending a lot of time on over the last several weeks -- the situation in Syria and how we can make sure that chemical weapons are not used against innocent people.
I am hopeful that the discussions that Secretary Kerry had with Foreign Minister Lavrov as well as some of the other players in this can yield a concrete result. And I know that he is going to be working very hard over the next several days to see what the possibilities are there.
But even as we have been spending a lot of time on the Syria issue and making sure that international attention is focused on the horrible tragedy that occurred there, it is still important to recognize that weve got a lot more stuff to do here in this government.
The American people are still interested in making sure that our kids are getting the kind of education they deserve; that were putting people back to work; that we are dealing properly with a federal budget; that bills are getting paid on time; that the full faith and credit of the United States is preserved; and that the federal government itself is, in every single agency, running the way it should and making sure that our constituents and the American people are getting a good deal.
So were going to spend some time here today talking about all the efforts that have been made by many of these Cabinet secretaries to streamline operations, to cut out waste, to improve performance, to improve customer satisfaction. Were going to focus on some specific issues, including managing some of the budget debates that are going to be taking place over the next several weeks.
Were going to be talking about the rollout of the Affordable Care Act, where weve seen some tremendous progress over the last several months and are confident that starting at the beginning of next month, people are going to be able to start signing up for health care -- in many cases, for the first time. And were going to spend some time talking about issues like comprehensive immigration reform that are still of enormous importance to ensure that America grows.
So I appreciate all the great work that people have done. Some of the Cabinet members here are still relatively new, but thanks to their confirmations and the great teams they put around them, I know that theyre hitting the ground running.
Thank you very much, everybody.

Somebody should ask Obama EXACTLY what was discussed about the ObamaCare roll-out during this Cabinet meeting last month, and why he's frustrated and surprised about it now? What did Secretary Sebelius say to him then? Did she mislead the President in front of all the other Cabinet Secretaries? What does Obama plan to do about it now that he knows that he and his Cabinet were lied to by one of his Secretaries?

same tactic as when they were devising this stupid piece of chit legislation...
I would decline the “briefing”....what’s the point, it’s all lies.
