In 2007, there were 1.8 million tax returns filed using so-called "Individual Tax Identification Numbers" (SSANs for non-resident aliens). So for the rest of the 15 million or so illegals...either:

• they committed fraud in collecting welfare (a felony, see above)
• they evaded tax (a felony)
• they "borrowed" somebody's SSAN (a felony)
• they got forged paperwork in order to defraud an employer (a felony)
