A slew of immigration rights groups upped the ante on Wednesday, loudly demanding President Barack Obama circumvent Congress and use his executive power to effectively legalize undocumented immigrants on his own.
But those tactics arent sitting well with some on Capitol Hill.
Pro-reform Republicans believe the new and more aggressive strategy will hurt their chances of persuading their GOP colleagues to back revamping U.S. immigration laws. And while congressional Democrats are more sympathetic to the activists view, some concede the advocates methods wont help.
Bad idea, said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who as a member of the Gang of Eight negotiated the sweeping immigration reform bill that passed the Senate. I think its dumber than dirt. I just think thats not a process that Im going to buy into.

Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.), the co-chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, said Obama should absolutely use executive authority to stop deportations for more undocumented immigrants if reform doesnt pass this Congress.
and here... Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) said immigration activists have long struggled to balance a call for a legislative pathway to citizenship with a similar demand to stop daily deportations
I guess if they have their way they want Obama to rule the country by executive order after executive order.
Look. I know that's how they do it in the Third World Sh*tholes you come from, Julio, but here we're not supposed to do it that way.
I think we need to understand the ploy that Boehner will try to use. He will send a bill to conference . We want no bill to conference because it will comeback with amnesty and then he will hide out and a DISCHARGE PETITION will be signed by demorats and 17 republic rats. Then it will pass with only 17 Republic rat votes !! We must insist on NO IMMIGRATION BILL!! This same gambit has now been employed by Boehner on obama care. He will send a CR without funding the communist healthcare disaster but it will conference back without our cut. You watch.
