It's 150 miles from Ft. Hood to Dallas-Ft worth.
Just how loosely does this guy use the word "area"?

In the big picture, Ft. Hood is close enough to DFW to point out the odd coincidence, which is all I’m doing. Proportionally, Ft. Hood is to Ft. Worth as Washington Navy Yard is to Arlington, VA.
