The article quoted from blackmountainnews.com works hard to try to make the poor, defenseless Board of Education the victime of the "powerful" gun rights group.

I wonder if they have any idea of how silly they appear.

I’d like to see the study on this statement. If it is true I would have a great point in gun debates with liberal relatives.

Well, having a gun in a locked case in a locked car may be a start....but a lot of damage could be done by a shooter before that gun in a locked case in a locked car could be ready to confront the active shooter.........

Every word of that happens to be true, but we citizens shouldn't have to request, receive, and pay for government permission to exercise the right to keep and bear arms.
