An armed man is a free man whilst an unarmed man is a serf who is subject to the whims and dictates of the State. That is why progressive liberals fear and despise gun ownership and why they relentlessly pursue to destroy the Second Amendment of the US Constitution. They know that an armed population can resist any final destruction of their God-given liberties. This week saw a mixed bag of news as it pertains to gun rights. However, while there was a setback in Missouri, the overall news is encouraging.
On Tuesday, voters in Colorado successfully recalled two anti-liberty Democratic state legislators. Colorado Senate President John Morse and state Senator Angela Giron both lost their seats as citizens voted to kick them out and replace them. Both Morse and Giron were staunch supporters of a liberal, anti-gun legislative session that was clearly out of bounds for normal Colorado citizens. What makes this victory even more astounding is that the pro-liberal forces outspent the pro-gun citizen groups by a margin of 7-1. Nanny Michael Bloomberg and his anti-freedom coalition suffered a setback as they poured $350,000 into defending the Democratic officials.
I think that this bodes well for the upcoming 2014 midterm elections as the Tea Party and other conservative groups are working hard to elect those who will uphold their oath to support and defend the Constitution and kick out those RINOs who do not. It also shows that socially conservative Democrats are not happy with the their party. Angela Giron represents a heavily Democratic district (Pueblo) but lost by a wide margin of 56 to 44 percent. These results show that if we conservatives actually deliver a clear message of our conservative beliefs, which are in line with the American character, voters will respond.

Wouldn't it be great if the Republican party of Washington, D.C. included people smart enough to make sense of such an observation?
