Thank you for reminding me that my pastor Tom Wolfe nearly 3 decades ago made a simple phone call to me when he hadn’t seen my husband & me in church for some weeks. We had separated, I was alone & ashamed. I was so profoundly touched by his compassion that I was truly born again in the Spirit & returned to the congregation. The reconciliation with God was the beginning of what would grow into reconciliation with my husband. The nature of all my relationships & life changed. Jesus reclaimed my wandering, lost soul that day in Pastor’s phone call.
