I don’t see the connection. Lincoln was a Republican and Obama is, well, ostensibly a Democrat but in reality he’s a bloody Marxist.

The first one was not a civil war as it was more of a war against regional secession... not a struggle for control over the Capital.

Good article
democrats are for slavery, for making individuals slaves of the government
I’m a Republican so I am for freedom, real human rights like property rights, freedom of speech, right to bear arms etc.

From the article:
"But as Lincoln observed in his Gettysburg Address, a nation cannot long endure half slave and half free." Oh, dear me...
You know, FRiends, there was a time, way back in those bad-old stone ages, when even children in public schools were required to memorize some of Lincoln's speeches, and would never-after confuse one with the other...
In Lincoln's 1858 "House Divided" speech in Springfield, Illinois, he said:
" 'A house divided against itself cannot stand.'
I believe this government cannot endure, permanently half slave and half free."
In Lincoln's 1863 Gettysburg Address he said:
"Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure."
Now, I hate to be a stickler, but on the other hand, it's not that hard to look these old speeches up, and get them right.
