You called it. He's Scott Israel, a Dem operative and failed FLPD LEO. My sources in the city tell me he set the record for most complaints and lawsuits filed for conduct. The 2012 0bama turnout effect got him elected over the professional LEO incumbent. Israel famously said that he wouldn't increase the sheriff's dept budget "as long as one child in Broward County goes to bed hungry." He's now fighting the RAT-infested county commission for a big increase in his budget, so I guess all the kids are well fed!
