Lets acknowledge that this subject has a long history.
However, what an opposition party should be doing is say, you know what, well provide a one-time tax break or a voucher (or something similar) to everyone below a certain income level who applies for and obtains a state issued ID for voting. Then, well all watch what happens as the Democrat party runs out of excuses and a method of cheating at the ballot box. Seeing that they are for every other handout, they should jump on this, right? Incidentally, if healthcare is a right as pronounced by our white-black president and the government will ultimately need all of our personal details in order to grant this right; to quote the pants suit, (who has spoken on this matter) what difference does it make shouldnt the right to vote be equally scrutinized?
They refuse to use voter ID to curtail vote fraud, but have no problem at all with identifying “political dissidents” and targeting them with the IRS and spying on them with the NSA, wonder how long until they go full schutzstaffel.
They’re already free here in North Carolina. Are you talking about a kind of payment/reward for getting one?
OOps. I made a mistake. They WILL be free starting in January. They’re $10.00 now.
Very dangerous approach. That would be an open invitation for Dems to order extra voter ID cards, to get extra votes AND extra goodies. It would be irresistible!
No, I am talking about “helping” the folks who, supposedly, can’t “afford” to get an ID to get one. I am glad they are free in NC, so what’s the democraps problem with this? Losing their ability to cheat?
How can tax breaks be given to those who don’t pay taxes?
But then the dead, felons, illegals, and other unqualified people can’t vote. That’s unfair to Democrats.
Which is one reason I said maybe a voucher. The tax code is used for a lot of things, I am sure you know, redistribution of wealth is one. Anyway, the point is, an opposition party will take the offense on the subject.
