Prohibition merely creates black markets for the prohibited substances and encourages the growth of organized crime and the corruption of police, legislators, and rule of law.

The war on drugs is just as goofy as the gun control issue. (Chicago is the poster city for repealing strict gun laws.) Why do people continue to support legislation that doesn’t work and is, in fact, counterproductive? (The citizens, not the people who stand to gain from such legislation.)
