Nunn was a “conservative” democrat i.e. he was like Lieberman, good on national defense, mostly liberal on everthing else, though he was more conservative than Lieberman but less conservative than Zell Miller.
I doubt just the name Nunn is going to get her elected. A lot of those who the name Nunn meant anything to are dead.
But the democrats want the seat back. They had it from 1852 to 2003.
“Conservative” Democrat ? He was no Conservative. His last two years in office he got a 55% liberal score in 1996 and a 78% liberal score in 1995 (a liberal “reactionary” against the Conservative GOP Senate).
