Five Reasons to Resist the U.S. Bishops on Immigration Reform

Most U.S. Catholic bishops stand "in solidarity with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and its many statements of the past decade in support of comprehensive immigration reform." Perhaps the bishops hope that whatever influence they have among Catholics, they can use it to further another law that runs more than 1,200 pages. Evidently, the bishops did not have enough betrayal with health care reform.

Here are five reasons why the U.S. bishops ought to change their mind about support for immigration reform.

ONE: The bishops have misled Catholics scripturally about immigration. There are many passages in the Bible that encourage us to welcome the stranger (Deuteronomy 10: 19, or Hebrews 13:1, among others). None of these passages encourage us to welcome an invading army of poor people intent on bankrupting our health care system, debasing our schools, stealing our legal identities and our territory, diminishing our sovereignty, refusing to speak our language, using their children as human shields to stay in the United States, and destroying our neighborhoods.

Illegal immigration from Mexico, encouraged by the corrupt Mexican government, does all the above. To hide these sinful activities by using quotations from the Bible about not welcoming strangers is misleading. The illegal aliens coming to the United States are not strangers to be welcomed; they are an invading foreign army that has to be turned back.

There is much evidence that those who are in the United States illegally from Mexico and other countries are not assimilating or interested in becoming U.S. citizens. The position of the U.S. bishops on immigration will end by dividing the United States into a Spanish-speaking and an English-speaking nation, creating more social unrest.

Since Rome would have no growth and great losses in % of RCs in America without immigration from S. America, they normally would be in favor of more immigration from there. http://www.peacebyjesus.com/RC-Stats_vs._Evang.html#DEMOGRAPHICS

Thanks for the post. Food for thought, to go with the Bread.

The Church has suffered from the same attacker we have and has suffered from the divide and conquer tactics the Rebel has used.

Recent times have seen the rise of Liberation Theology one commenter described a "an amalgamation of Marxism and Christianity...the Marxist wing of the Catholic Church."

Jesus warns us in this excerpt from one of the messages about our era:

Learn The Holy Rosary
Signs Of The End Of Times
June 2, 1988

Vassula of My Sacred Heart, you have heard Me
whisper in your ear, I want to show you in Timothy I
and II everything that has been predicted for the last
days of your era; My creation has degenerated and has
fallen lower than the Sodomites; Darkness came upon
them as a deadly veil, sent by Satan; Satan has sent
many false teachers, false prophets who appear today
as philosophers, teaching dogmas which do not come
from Me your Lord, and My children, blinded by their
ignorance, fall into these traps set up by Satan; I wish
that these parts of Timothy be read in public as a
warning: 1 Timothy 4:1-16, and 6:20-21 and 2
Timothy 2:14-26; these prophecies were especially
pronounced for your times; then in 2 Timothy 3:1-17
in this passage it foretells the state of your era, to be
found now; for these are the last days before the end of
Times;

solemnly, I request from you all to redouble your
prayers for a 'come back'; My Sacred Heart is open for
any soul who will repent and who wills to return to Me;

Protesters Question Clergyman’s Loyalty
At Archbishop Jose Gomez Residence

Dozens of protesters have shown up at Archbishop of Los Angelus Jose Gomez residence many carrying American flags and bearing signs questioning his loyalty to the US not Mexico along with many signs demanding equal rights for American citizens in Mexico.

The protest was apparently triggered by the clerics decision to push forward with his predecessors decision the disgraced Cardinal Mahoney with offering amnesty thus citizenship to Mexicans crossing the border illegally while thousands of Americans in Mexico suffer under 2nd class citizenship unable to own property and suffer indignitys let alone participate in Mexican elections while living there in Mexico.

A spokeswoman for the group, Harriet Hildegarden insisted her group consists of Catholics loyal to the church. “We will be protesting at other locations where prominent clergy of the church have sided with the Obama regime”Hildy” claims the church is supporting the democrat party which denied God at their convention and declared what she claims is war on the Catholics but would collude with i t on many issues including “amnesty” .

When asked if she may be denied communion for her activities her reply was “Well it’s been known that when that happens quicker when clerics get personally attacked than when some politican challanges the church on the grounds of faith and morals” . You didn’t hear much from them (the bishops) about the Gosnell baby murderer trial. Now that it’s winding up perhaps the bishops might call a “conference” next year but they sure acted swiftly when it comes to allowing this country resigning its sovereign rights because of possible new parishioners.

The Church, like politicians, thrives on the kindne$$ of strangers. Letters to the local bishop promising to send money elsewhere probably has more effect than any religious or canonical argument. They’re free to “support” political causes, like unions, but can do it without the money of opposing parishioners.
