When I first read about this, I thought it was probably over some local zoning tyranny.
Push people far enough, and some will push back. I do not know all the particulars, but it seems that the shooter fought the government in court over their taking control of his land for quite some time... and lost.
Zoning is a favorite way for local elites to impose their will.

I agree these zoning aholes think they are royalty. I know this Obot was a nut but did the zoning officials ever stop to think how far they can push someone without them cracking. What did they think this guy would do where would he go to live did they ever think about that?

I heard on the news that this man has been fighting them for eighteen years and that they had comdemned his property.
Now the pictures I saw show that it was horrible, and that he lived in his car on the property.
But it was his property.
I'd be interested to know who wanted that place. Awful lot of money being made on the down low these days.
