The pretty thing won't have to serve another day in a U.S. prison.
A federal judge in Miami, FL has sentenced Sandra Avila Beltran to time served after pleading guilty to her role in the Sinaloa cartel which once was headed by boyfriend Juan Diego Espinosa Ramire, and the Queen of the Pacific soon will return to her native Mexico where she's known to indulge in a lavish lifestyle and cosmetic surgery as reported by Hannah Strange for The Telegraph: "the judge sentenced her to 70 months in prison but ruled that the penalty had been fulfilled by her five years spent in a Mexican jail and 11 months in US custody."
The narco queen was arrested in Mexico City in 2007, and extradited to the United States in 2012.
What was the point in the prosecution? Convicted and set free. The War On Drugs invalidates itself.
Once again our courts favor the criminal element. How many lives has she ruined.
Attractive, but in danger of over-doing the plastic surgery... needs to slow down on the cheek implants... starting to misshape her mouth, giving her that Joker smile...
Dream Act recipient
My thoughts exactly!
I wonder what her accommodations while in ‘custody’ in the U.S. were like? Only mani/pedi on Tu/Thurs? The wine served at 48 degrees instead of 46?
Our own Citizens get more time for having a single roach vs. the tons of drugs this woman helped sell.
I suspect the judge needs a financial audit.

Purely coincidentallyunless not coincidentally at all, of coursethat's the same cartel Eric "the Red" Holder shipped firearms to in the all but forgotten Fast & Furious conspiracy.
You’re probably 100% correct on all points.
She was convicted of money laundering, but one wonders what other crimes she’s probably committed (directly or indirectly) over the years. One universal constant among gangsters throughout history seems to be their willingness to use intimidation, violence, and murder to get what they want and to keep it.
It is highly probable that she cooperated in some form or fashion so don’t be surprised if she does not last long in her native country. On top of that, the new powers will see her as a threat representing the old powers.
She will live a nervous existence.
Who says she will stay in Mexico? If she is in danger there, she will quickly go elsewhere.
She might run somewhere and that would probably be smart. However, the history of the Cartels show the leaders are as addicted to power as they are money and few have been able to avoid becoming entangled again.
She is likely viewed as a threat to current leaders and remains a mortal enemy of rivals. There are few places on Earth where she could escape that if she maintains her flamboyant lifestyle. The grudges among cartels (and within cartels) are as vicious as it gets.
i am certainly not void of vanity when it comes to physical appearance... one cannot don 6-inch heels in humbleness... i often see attractive women trying to hold on to their youthful looks (which i get, and i do as well)... and take things too far... for some reason, is difficult to leave well enough alone...
That’s true. She may be toast.
I’ll put it more simply. When I look at her I think, attractive for her age.
Also, ‘things penicillin won’t kill’.
Lots of things penicillin won’t kill.
Gifts that will keep on giving. For the remainder of your life. Unless the CDC decides to fund a program to treat and/or cure that particular obscure STD. Which won’t do a thing for all the OTHER obscure STD’s you’re likely to pick up as well.
