"The administrator of the individual health unit, a much more polite authority, gave a similar spiel but revealed that there is no law mandating the disbursement of these products. This means that the DOH, entirely on its own initiative and apparently without any sort of official citizen advisement, has simply decided to regularly budget taxpayer funds for them."

"With that in mind, is contraception really the answer to the epidemic of sexually-transmitted diseases? Recently, the Democratic Party of Sebastian County hosted two ladies promoting this idea. When you are a hammer the world looks like a nail.
When you are a condom the whole world looks like adultery!
And when you’re gay, the whole world looks like a bathroom stall.
And when you freely distribute condoms to teenagers you are encouraging them to be sexually active.
We are forced to think of an erect male member, or the lack thereof, at least every third commercial we view.
We are being told that "getting it on" is the absolute sole reason for living.
Well, it is not.
I especially resent the fact that they run those ads during sports programming in the middle of the afternoon.
If I had an eight year old son who liked baseball I’d be highly P.O.-ed.
I called one of my local radio stations about the profusion of ED ads and asked why they would carry such commercials on radio when the only thing it does is make people think about "hard-ons." And, I can't even remember the name of the product they were advertising because of the ever-present image in my mind. And, besides, my son asked me what that commercial was all about.
I must have hit a nerve because they stopped carrying ED commercials at all.
There is a lot of bad stuff going on in the world that just a little common sense would cure.
I hit mute for all commercials. I only wish it dimmed the screen at the same time.
Yeah, like they need any encouragement?
