George Zimmerman ‘Caused’ Truck Accident? Conspiracy Theories Abound On Twitter…

News that George Zimmerman helped save a Floridian trapped under an overturned truck just days after being acquitted in the Trayvon Martin murder trial, has been met with an overly healthy dose of skepticism on Twitter. As anyone can easily discover with a simple search of “Zimmerman caused,” hundreds of Twitter users find it suspect that the former defendant just happened upon an “accident” and saved the day.

Almost as quickly as the original conspiracy theories began to swirl, conservatives on Twitter hijacked the narrative, using the hashtag #MSNBCTonight to predict how that network will further the “Zimmerman caused” story the accident during prime time hours.

We’ll have to wait and see if any of MSNBC’s anchors dare to touch this story tonight.

He did not have to stop and help; certainly wasn’t interested in any more public exposure. - Helped and promptly left scene; had a fire extinguisher ready if needed. - I think the serendipity of him being there was more a test for his own benefit than for the publicity; also let him know that anonymity for him in this country is difficult to impossible.

I’ve been unable to read/watch much news in the last 48, so can anyone tell me the race of the couple or family GZ helped out of the accident? I’m guessing they were black or at least non-white because that small detail would completely upset the narrative that he’s a racist.
