I think we should bring back American manufacturing.

For 30 years we have squandered what our forefathers left for us.

Now it is vanishing.

Bring it back.

Well, let me help you out here...and I would love to see manufacturing come back, or any other jobs come back, by the way. I do not have much patience for the same type of misplaced angst over and over again though. I’m not a patient person.

First, this is America, and there is no WE when it comes to business. Countries that have a WE in business are by definition SOCIALIST or some form of STATISM. So you are just off the reality plantation the very second you talk in terms of what WE should do. That’s not what built America. And it won’t be what saves America. In fact, that’s what is killing America.

Second, what is “it?” Many jobs are lost because they were obsolete. Others were lost because of unions, regulations, and taxes. In other words, reality and government are what has killed the jobs. It’s not China. We don’t control China.

Third, economies are dynamic and ever changing. For this reason, economies are both wonderful and cruel. Sorry, reality sucks sometimes. It is still reality.

So there is no “bringing back” anything, really, however, there are ways to create: reduce taxes, reduce regs, stay the hell away from unions, produce our own energy without huge governmental burdens. If we did that, China wouldn’t make a damned bit of difference.

Aim your angst at liberalism, and not China. You’ll be happier, and smarter. And yes, Palin and Friedman and Sowell agree with me on this.
