The following is a paper mache goddess very much like the one I saw
at an abortion clinic. It was used, along with "prayers" said by the abortion
staff, in order to "protect" them from us "evil" pro-lifers.
They called her "Fifi."

Read Julian Jaynes "
The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind" and you will begin to understand that ancient cultures didn't just believe in their gods and goddesses...their idols weren't just little clay figurines.
These idols...these clay figurines spoke...their worshipers heard their voices distinctly...and acted on them.
Rather than expound on this matter, I point you to the link I have provided.

That is chilling.
The idol you posted reminds me that all of our current battles (that most people see only as politics) are also battles of the supernatural, Good vs. Evil - God vs. Satan.
I read Romans Chapter 1 yesterday, it was a like holding a mirror up to our American culture that is now spinning out of control.

I’ve seen that goddess in photos from somewhere. I think the goddess in the photo is a changed version of Kali (Hindu goddess) Name means darkness and children are/were/have been sacrificed to her. (cult fringe of Hinduism)
Also looks like photos from Middle East archaeological digs.
