Then here’s the 100 trillion dollar question: What do we do about it ?

I don’t have the answer, nor will I pretend to have the answer.

Is now the time for a third party ?

It’s been time for a third party for decades. The problem is that the big money would either stay with the GOP and marginalize it, or just co-opt the new party. You need money to win elections, and thus the Roves and RINOs of the world will always have the most influence.

A third party to win? The Republican Party is incapable of winning a national election so flee from that create a smaller third party and that is the answer. If it wasn’t so idiotic it might be funny.

It’s the demographics! Romney 60% of white vote 200 EV’s. GHW Bush 60% of white vote 400 EV’s. So one of three things have to happen to win nationally.

First the Republican Party has to get a larger share of a decreasing demographic. White voters. This is normally a bad business model and takes you towards bankruptcy. Second get an increased share of the minority vote. Not likely when the outreach has been comically bad. Not a day goes by when someone somewhere says something stupid. Third the Dems put up such a bad candidate they are unelectable. You know live boy dead girl scenario.

I do not see many other options. Maybe I am to depressed to see the light. If I see the light I am prestty sure it’s a train!

We're supposed to have a representative government. The Republicans are no longer representing us, and the Democrats sure as hell aren't about to start. Do we have any other choice?

Did you see Sarah Palin's article the other day? She's literally two inches away from turning in her Republican party card, and supporting the formation of a true opposition party.

If she comes out and calls for the Tea Party to officially register as a national political party, millions upon millions will jump ship and join it.
