Most of us can think for ourselves and decide whether or not we want to go read it.

I don't recall having expressed any opinion one way or the other about what you should read.

Perhaps you could point it out for me.

most on here I believe are conservative and know that we make up our own mind and take the consequences for our own actions

I really can't find any way to link that pronouncement to my criticism about someone using Free Republic as an advertising tool.
I'll just chalk that up to my lack of subtlety.

Real conservatives don’t really need a nanny don’t ya know.

I'm pleased to hear it.

So.. Nannies aside.. how do you feel about someone using Free Republic as a free advertising source for their blog?

If I don’t find the information something I’m interested in I will skip over it. If on the other hand I find I’m interested I’ll go take a look. If they write something of interest I see absolutely no difference in going to “their blog” than when I have to go to any other site to read the entire article. You see, I would rather decide for myself if the information is of enough interest to read further. Someone high jacking the thread because of some misplaced sense of “protecting the little people” on the other hand seems a rather distasteful invasion.
