Yes, I have a sister who, along with her husband, are rampant liberals. They have actively campaigned for 0bama, attended the inauguration in January. They are all into global warming, union rights, etc. Probably the only reason I put up with this is to spare my other sister from hurt of the fracture it would cause to write off the liberal one.

The very most hurtful interaction was when my son was in Ramadi, Iraq on his second tour with the USMC, Al Qaeda all around and trying to kill them every minute of every day, and she provoked an argument about we would never have been in Iraq if not for George Bush’s lies.

Now her son has joined up with the USAF, my only hope is that sequestration keeps him from flying much.

She is 52 years old, continues to blame our poor mother for her “victim” lot in life, believes the government is better equipped to make all of our choices for us, and has a deeply ingrained intellecutal snobbishness, because they are “so educated”.

It is very difficult.

I have a family member who has said similar things to/about other family members in the military, while they were deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. So infuriating when they throw up the "George Bush war lies" to those risking their lives.

This same family member says nothing about 0's wars, though. Their hypocrisy is sickening.
