I enjoyed being passenger on them, above any other of the era save the 747. They put the DC-9 to shame in the overall flight experience, imho. Very comfortable, smooth, quiet planes by comparison to most anything in domestic service now. You could breathe on them too, fresh air was never an issue. Weird as it sounds, I have to drink tomato juice on ice with a lemon wedge to not feel faintly oxygen deprived on more modern, smaller passenger jets. No idea why it helps but it does.
