Senate Immigration Debate (Gang of Eight Bill)
C-SPAN ^ | June 18, 2013 | Gerard Perry

Debate in the U.S. Senate on the Gang of Eight’s amnesty continues today, including on four critical amendments, one of which would require the construction of a double-layer border fence. If past is prologue, it will be defeated by a coalition of open borders Democrats and Republicans. Watch the process live on C-SPAN.

Senate is a lost cause on this issue...first of all, the dems have the advantage now that the bill is on the floor, it was designed that way by some not voting against it by voting for cloture.

The battle now moves to the house where Bonehead is doing his best to grease the skids for its passage.

I just alerted my squish representative as follows:

“Don’t let the Speaker pull a bait and switch on the immigration issue. I am against amnesty but would favor doing border secuirty that is tight and verifiable before considering what to do with 11 million+ illegals here now. Given it has taken 25 years to get another 11 million here since the last amnesty I don’t see the rush to get a bill done now. Unless you people have some kind of political suicide in mind for the 2014 election, I’d pay heed to my ideas on this subject. There is NO political advantage in pushing this now, in fact, it is a disaster. Furthermore, when I hear we need to do this for political reasons I vomit. You took an oath to support and defend the constitution and thereby the nation. Undermining its borders by legalizing an outright invasion does not live up to that notion. If you support the speaker on this issue and elect to vote for some senate/obama travesty, you may pay a personal price because while we may not be able to unseat you in a primary, we will defeat you by not voting for you or voting for the other side in 2014. By we, I mean myself and many with whom I share similar opinions.

Kill the Bill.

Take it out of the media. Then go back to Benghazi and the IRS.
