The Washington Free Beacon yesterday became the latest victim in a wave of cyber attacks targeting conservative news outlets.
The Beacon, in what appears to be a coordinated assault, joined National Journal and radio station WTOP as a target after certain articles were featured on the Drudge Report, one of the most heavily trafficked and influential sites in the world.
The Drudge Report itself has not been infiltrated.
“There seems to be this concerted effort by this cyber criminal to take over news sites,” said Steve Ward, vice president of Invincea, the Internet security company that first identified the Free Beacon breach. He added that these particular attacks appear to have been perpetrated by criminals rather than by state actors such as China.

The National Journal and WTOP are “Conservative new outlets”? ROFLMAO.
I find the the political left to be the most hypocritical group in the history of humanity.
They claim to stand for freedom and then practice repression and tyranny.
They claim to be proponents of free speech but are not.
They claim to be for racial equality but are often the most OPENLY racist people I know.
Everything they claim to stand for they do not do and everything they claim the right wants to do to them they actually do.
When these things are pointed out to the left you get the “But our intentions are good” or “But we are trying to keep the evil (take your choice) Capitalist, Jew, Christian, Republican, Red-Neck, Bigot from taking over the world
In the same manner, and for the same reasons, that “youths” in the ghettos have become emboldened by Obama’s arrogance, leftists have decided that the new rules of the new era allow for conservatives to be assaulted physically, financially, politically, and reputationally (?), and to expect that no reaction will be forthcoming or even allowed.
Civil war is inevitable.
Glenn Beck links frequently have viruses attached. The older stories anyway.

The problem is that while liberals see themselves as fighting for the culture and have active, organized activism, too many conservatives don’t realize or admit that they are being attacked en masse.
Yes. I had to remove a lot of links. Not fun. Now I get a message about once every 2 or 3 months about losing my safe browsing certificate because of one link (or more) that may take me an hour to find.
It is annoying, but as long as I remove the link, they have nothing and let it go.
Man, what a pain.. but at least you got it taken care of.. Have you checked on security for your site?
Yeah, my ISP has a scanner that scans the whole site every night for bugs. Costs money and I have tried to do everything on this site on a budget.
It is something that has been noticeable to me for years - - Drudge NEVER seems to have any hacking issues and never seems to be effected when the rest of the internet slows to a crawl.
That is largely because it is one static page that is refreshed every few minutes. The page is constantly being uploaded so even if it was hacked, the page would be replaced very quickly.
