I’m a little skeptical of her.

Last night she was on Greta pushing for a national DNA Database.

Basically the government wants to come take our DNA and store it.. “just in case”

I don't know the context of her support, but I understand it's for anyone who is arrested for a felony and subject to being fingerprinted. The requirement for DNA testing, known as "Katie's Law" arose from the brutal rape and murder of Katie Sepich, a 22-year-old NMSU student in Las Cruces while Susana was prosecutor. Not until NM passed the law was the killer identified.

In its ruling yesterday, the court said the DNA cheek swab does not represent an unreasonable intrusion of a person’s privacy that would violate the Fourth amendment (anymore than a photograph or fingerprint of a person arrested for a serious crime would). Certainly I have concerns of a national DNA data base, but unlike a national ID card based on social security numbers or a gun registry, DNA requires specialized testing and is not easily available to someone just looking someone else up for political purposes.
