Right. And it defies belief that Harry didn't know that Harvey was going to "take care of him". Or that Reid would be "grateful" for his support.

Yes, there is definitely a quid pro quo on both sides, even if the checks Harvey bundled had been truly his friends' money, not his.

All these political donations, beyond the legal minimum for an individual, are bribes. What is legitimate is for people who feel strongly about a candidate to volunteer their time and call their friends and neighbors about the vote.

The Dems have the game down to a science and they know the so-called “justice” department will give them a free pass. As long as you’re not caught on tape making a direct pay-for-play deal, then a Dem will never be charged.
