Observation:
When she was talking about the difference between the Lymbic part of the brain (primitive, fight or flight, emotion) versus the Neocortex (logic, thinking), I was thinking that actually explains why being a liberal is a mental illness (as Michael Savage and others keep saying).

They continually engaged children on an emotional level and on a negative emotional level.
If we has humans spend most of our time in that realm of emotion, there is no cognitive thinking. If a person lives there, they are emotionally reactive. The problem with being emotionally reactive is that you can be manipulated.

They are using informational text - instead of teaching great literature. It is boring and will turn students off. The facts are available through a search. Why do they think it is important ? Those informational texts are loaded with bias and social justice.
A generation ago. An educational reformer thought it was not important to teach math facts because of calculators.
Now they are saying informational text are so important.

Use the research we know and not trash it like common core is doing.
These facts are important and not ignore them or violate them. We will be raising a generation – that is not only, more vulnerable to emotional challenges, but will be subject to manipulation.
The curriculum engages most in the Lymbic system - anger and revenge.
What you will create is a generation like the Arab spring
Very easily manipulated.
What people in power want is a generation that can be manipulated.
Thankfully, Texas finally dumped this program in the past few days.
