On the Senate floor Wednesday, Senator John McCain (R-AZ) angrily stated that fellow Republican Senator Marco Rubio was delaying Senate business by objecting to a routine increase of the debt limit.

They've gotten so used to not voting for things, it doesn't occur to them to call the roll. But they run into all those parliamentary roadblocks that they themselves (McCain's been there since 1986) have put into place, and that they like to get around and through by unanimous consent.

And let us not forget that McCain’s pet bill, immigration reform, will also have to go to conference should it get past the senate and should the house pass a bill, or several bills. McConnell doesn’t seem to want to stop it. Cruz, Paul and Lee will do what they can to stop it.
Rubio is rubbish.
I trust him like I trust McCain; not at all. He’s shown himself a member of The Parliment of Whores with his amnesty empty promises.

Once you get past $16T or so, it’s hard for a sane person to call raising the debt “routine”. Fortunately, John McCain is around.
