Sharon at the Phoenix Gun Turn In
Sharon came to the gun turn in at the Sunnyslope Mennonite Church in Phoenix, looking for a pistol for self defense. She shoots at Shooters World, and intends to take the pistol there to have it checked out. She has children in the Army, and she expects that they will go to the desert for some family fun with their firearms.
Sharon said "We should have weapons to protect our families and homes."
Sharon's Makarov
The pistol that she obtained, a Russian made Makarov in .380 ACP, was in excellent condition with an extra magazine.
Sharon paid $80 for it, a bargain. Later, she passed on bidding for a $50 shotgun so that another buyer could purchase it for his child. She believes that teaching children how to handle guns safely is important.

A bargain? I’ll say. My bro in law gave me one of these in the 9x18 version. I later gave it back when I bought my own home defense weapon(s). He later sold the MAKAROV for around $500 IIRC.
Nice!
I’ve got the Bulgarian version in 9x18. Wonderful little gun to have and to shoot. I paid less than $150 for it several years ago. It’s as good quality as my more expensive guns.
Way to go, Sharon!
I used to help run the men’s shelter started by that church. I am friends with the pastor. It’s a hoot to see that picture.
Glad you liked it. Is the pastor a dedicated anti-freedom type, or can they be educated?
That is a sweet little carry gun.
I already have a Tokarev in 9mm. A .380 Mak would be the icing on the cake.
why can’t their be an ammo turn in nearby? It’s harder to find, and I would be the first to buy up lol
Ammunition was dumped into a separate container. I understand that it was to be burned. I did not see a lot of ammunition, but one person who decided to obtain cash rather than gift cards, offered me some 12 guage dove loads in the parking lot. I bought 25 boxes for $50.
sweer story.
sweer?
