President Obama - I Know Nothing About The IRS
Political Realities ^ | 05/19/13 | LD Jackson

I don't know about you, but the mantra being spouted by President Obama and his administration officials is wearing a little thin. The latest is what they are saying about the IRS targeting conservative groups for intense scrutiny before they were granted or denied their tax exempt status from the IRS. If we are to believe President Obama, he knew nothing of the actions taken by the IRS and is totally outraged. Just as he knew nothing of what took place in the Fast and Furious operation and what actually went down in Benghazi that resulted in the deaths of four Americans.

Obama - I Know NothingEverywhere we turn, we are greeted with the same smoke and mirrors. From President Obama, down through Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton, and anyone else who may have been involved in any of these scandals, no one seems to know a thing. Eric Holder, in his role as head of the Justice Department, has repeatedly claimed he knew nothing of Fast and Furious or the secret subpoena of the AP phone records by his own department. If that is the case, then he is either incompetent or the people he has hired are very good at keeping secrets from their boss. Well, there is one other possibility. He could be, probably is, lying through his teeth.

This same defense is used throughout the Obama administration, right from the very top of the food chain. When you stop and think about it, Obama used the "I know nothing" excuse before he was elected President. Remember how he claimed he knew nothing of the good Reverend Wright's sermons filled with racism and hateful rhetoric? He knew nothing then and he evidently knows nothing now.

From the beginning of the Fast and Furious scandal, President Obama has claimed he knew nothing about it. Eric Holder backed him up when he testified before Congress, but when pressed by that esteemed body to produce certain documents, President Obama claimed executive privilege and kept the documents from prying eyes. Methinks more than a few lies are sprinkled in with all of this, which is why he didn't want Congress, or the American people, to have access to the communication that took place between the White House and the Justice Department.

Let us now move to the IRS scandal. Again, President Obama is making the public claim that he is outraged at their actions and knew nothing of any internal probes. After all the lies he has told, we are supposed to believe him? I think not and there are more than a few reasons to do no such thing. He can make whatever claims he wants to make, but in the end, he is the one responsible for the actions of the IRS. By the very rhetoric he has used since taking office, and especially during the last election cycle, President Obama has enabled and encouraged the IRS to do his biding.

The Wall Street Journal - Was the White House involved in the IRS's targeting of conservatives? No investigation needed to answer that one. Of course it was.

President Obama and Co. are in full deniability mode, noting that the IRS is an "independent" agency and that they knew nothing about its abuse. The media and Congress are sleuthing for some hint that Mr. Obama picked up the phone and sicced the tax dogs on his enemies.

But that's not how things work in post-Watergate Washington. Mr. Obama didn't need to pick up the phone. All he needed to do was exactly what he did do, in full view, for three years: Publicly suggest that conservative political groups were engaged in nefarious deeds; publicly call out by name political opponents whom he'd like to see harassed; and publicly have his party pressure the IRS to take action.

Mr. Obama now professes shock and outrage that bureaucrats at the IRS did exactly what the president of the United States said was the right and honorable thing to do. "He put a target on our backs, and he's now going to blame the people who are shooting at us?" asks Idaho businessman and longtime Republican donor Frank VanderSloot.

This was the Obama version of the phone call—put out to every government investigator (and liberal activist) in the land.

The Obama call for scrutiny wasn't a mistake; it was the president's strategy—one pursued throughout 2012. The way to limit Romney money was to intimidate donors from giving. Donate, and the president would at best tie you to Big Oil or Wall Street, at worst put your name in bold, and flag you as "less than reputable" to everyone who worked for him: the IRS, the SEC, the Justice Department. The president didn't need a telephone; he had a megaphone.

You'll have to forgive me for being so skeptical of our President and his administration. Trying to tell me they are not lying when they say they know nothing is akin to telling me I am not breathing. The evidence is plain to see for anyone without rose-colored glasses on when they look at what was supposed to be the most transparent presidency in the history of America. It makes me wonder what else is going on that President Obama knows nothing about.

Transparency, indeed. Sergeant Schultz played his role on Hogan's Heroes better than this bunch of clowns.

It is patently unbelievable that the Obombas "didn't know".

The Obombers want the voters to think IRS factotums sitting in their govt offices suddenly upped and said," Hey, guys, why don't we target conservative groups---let's all give 'em a hard time w/ their tax status so that they can't get out the conservative vote. "

BTW---tell me, again. What exactly does Valerie Jarrett do in the WH?

Cue the picture of Sargent Schultz. And perhaps better meme for Obama would be Colonel Klink, the clueless and inept leader!

President Obama - I Know Nothing About The IRS

Sure you do Obama. You know "I-R-US."

It used to be that U.S. meant "us" to we the people. America has always been on our side, has always been about "us", the American people.

But now with Obama leading the Marxist/Leftist/Socialist coup, America is becoming a country about government not the American people. Now, it's "I R US": everything is about government and now, "government are 'us'".

BALONEY.

Given that it might point to either Valerie Jarrett or Rahm Emanuel starting "the whole ball of wax" in the first place, Obama had to at least give his acquiescence to this plan of using the IRS to go after political enemies in the first place.

Democrats and those involved in the scandals have contempt for the Republican congress and view them as self serving bafoons who may faint outrage but in the end they know there will be no definitive justice.

Whether he knew, personally, about the actions of the IRS, EPA, and other government agencies that have abused their power to further a political agenda, or not. He was directly responsible for fostering the environment in which his loyal ideologues disregarded the rights of fellow citizens and viewed it as acceptable. Because of this, he and his inner circle are directly responsible for elevating political activity above an impartial government for all citizens.

ANY political activity by employees of the government should be viewed as an assault on us all, regardless of which side of the aisle the activity supports. It is not possible to separate political view from job functions - everything is viewed through the tint of our political views. Public sector unions should be the first to go. Government must be apolitical in order to serve the needs and interests of all Americans.

It's patently absurd to not believe this was a completely orchestrated system. He knew and he knew probably since the days of Bill Ayers living room in some form or fashion what the "plan" was.

Question is...how do they move it forward now that they've been caught. I mean, without force or terror?
