Same here, except I rant...loudly and often. My poor husband, although he wholeheartedly agrees with me, has been getting earfuls lately.
This might make him laugh.
My spouse is pretty much ‘apolitical.’
(As an aside, did you know the ancient Greek word “idiot” was applied to citizens of the city-state who had no interest or involvement in politics?)
Careful about sharing *that* but anyway, she laughed when I said,
“With everything coming out of DC lately, gun-grabbing, Obamacare ‘income redistribution’, those charged with enforcing the laws—the scofflaws, leaving Americans pleas for help unanswered, and on-and-on, you’d think at least they’d blow us a kiss every now and then!”
Spouse: “Why would they do that?”
Moi: “Because, my dear—everyone likes a little kiss every now and then when they’re getting screwed.”
I’m here all week. In fact, I’m here all the time.
