Grover Norquist is not a conservative. He is pro-gay marriage, he was a lobbyist for Fannie Mae and at the 2011 CPAC conference, he told the Soros-funded organization Think Progress that Islam “is completely consistent with the U.S constitution and a free and open society.”
And yet, the Will County GOP chooses Mr. Norquist as their speaker for their Lincoln Day Dinner fundraiser. Are there no conservatives left in the Will County GOP?

There is a difference between libertarianism and conservatism.
I guess libertarians could be described as liberals who are not statists or collectivists.

This drive to split the baby, maintain rock-ribbed economic conservatism while jettisoning the social side, is never going to work. Frankly there are more Conservatives who signed up over social issues who would be most happy to have a little more Socialism in the economy, truth be told. There aren’t enough who agree with his take to sustain a movement.
These are just for openers, not to pile on but the guy's not one of us (conservative, that is.)
As far as the fiscal conservative / social moderate is concerned, its about as real as the unicorn. They pretty much always defer to their “moderate” nature when it comes to spending on social issues.
Didn’t know...I do like his stand on most tax issues.
I have no problems with libertarians. They believe in small governments. Big government affects my life more adversely than any other liberal agenda.
Norquist is correct in that US Constitution gives people right to exercise freedom of religion, including the religion of Islam. However it does not give any one the right to commit terrorist acts such as the Tsarnaev brothers or Tim McVeigh. Since 99% of terror acts are done by Muslims the world over, I see nothing wrong with FBI paying special attention to them by profiling.
He is the force behind channeling Saudi money and moslem brotherhood influence into the GOP. He supported the ground zero mosque.

Norquist is the Conservatives Quisling. The fallacy of Islam as being a religious movement similar to any others such as Hebrew, Catholic , Protestant, etc is just that- a fallacy. Islam is a religion AND a government wrapped in religion. I believe that there are many if not more of the Muslims dedicated to the government aspect of Islam, at least as far as the USA is concerned. I remember the days of WWII when the Nation was uptight about so called 5th columns working to defeat us and put the USA under Nazi German rule. I believe today’s 5th column are Muslims who would put the USA under Islam and Sharia law. Perhaps we would continue to have our basketball, baseball, football, casinos, Hollywood pablum, you can add more of these that take/put concern of the Nation our Founders setup and intended for posterity in a closet and even a wastebasket.
Muslims are already causing serious problems in UK, Scandinavia & France. So yes you are correct. They are like cancer...growing silently and the host is totally unaware of the danger lurking inside him. When the cancer grows large enough, it kills the host.
In states like Illinois & California it has become very hard for true conservatives to get elected. It is not complicated why only RINO’s run and can win in those states.
Why do you think Chris Christy is always praising Obama? Because NJ has a large black population and he needs their votes to survive against his democrat opponent.
