Well, yes, but not in the way that the authors are thinking. What does it say when professional journalists are more interested in promoting a political narrative than reporting the truth? What does it say about the rush to blame conservatives and the excuses for the terrorists that are now being made because they don't fit that narrative? What does it say about pundits who are perfectly happy to see American blood running in the street if it helps them smear their political opponents?
So yes, I agree with the authors - who they wanted it to be speaks volumes about who they are.

I’m confused. This was an isolated incident, just a couple of lone wolves. Why would anyone expect this attack or the next attack to be from a Muslim?
