They were on the campus of MIT when all hell broke loose and they murdered that MIT policeman. I think MIT was target of their last bombs.

Logically, wouldn't you do this BEFORE the race?? The guys lived within walking distance.
Sorry....Makes me even more suspicious of a sting gone bad.

They were going to pass off phony explosives and in the meantime, the boys were buiding real ones. Which means we gave them the cover.
We were two steps behind.

The most serious charge available to federal prosecutors Why would federal prosecutors be involved? These filth committed murder, assault with a deadly weapon, malicious wounding, evading arrest, and disturbing the peace. State crimes all.
Islamic terrorists Muhammed and Malvo were tried, convicted and sentenced under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Maryland. Muhammed is dead; Malvo is doing life without parole in a Virginia prison. That case was handled appropriately.
Likewise, this dirtbag Djoker Whasisname should be tried, convicted, and sentenced under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

I am glad you caught that...’calling a homemade bomb and WMD.’
I noted back on the day of the bombing the order for people to go home and stay inside. I thought that was an interesting order at that time. Even after 9/11 we were not ordered to ‘stay inside.’
This city-wide lockdown is stunning. The excuse is what? Perpetrators throwing homemade bombs? Pipe bombs? Or is there something else going on here?
Is this ‘editorial’ statement overkill or ...or was it a leak of something more insideous happened with these ‘pressure cooker bombs.’

Yes, but Virginia has the death penalty; while Taxachusetts does not. Had there not been a death penalty, the federal government did indeed have the option of trying the DC snipers.

My best guess as to why he was not hit by the gunfire hitting the boat is that he was behind the engine compartment and the engine blocked the shots.
They were shooting rubber bullets - there was around 20 gallons of fuel in the boat and a whole lot of houses within spitting distance in all directions.
I listened to the scanner feed, and they were paranoid they were going to hit each other or civilians once they had him cornered, and once the owner told them about the fuel, they became very adamant about the fuel situation and not shooting up the boat with real ammunition.
I'll say this much about the Boston PD - Out of the possibly hundreds of cops I saw on TV, photos, online video, etc., I only saw two with poor trigger discipline, and they appeared to have their safeties engaged. Even with the shootouts they had, as far as we know, no civilians were injured, and there were no friendly fire incidents. Some places I've seen, if faced with this situation, you'd have a lot of friendly fire and civilian incidents.

Thanks for that information. I didn’t know they were using rubber bullets. Even those filled that boat full of holes.

They can pack a punch and go right through fiberglass from what it looks like.
I'm guessing you wouldn't have seen as much damage if they used regular rounds, seems like they would zip right through fiberglass and not leave much of an entry, and possibly not much of an exit.
