The amazing thing is that the quarter SHINED bright. Real bright. I never had another coin that shined that bright.

Bounce the coin on a counter. It will make a wonderful ringing sound as only silver will. Then do the same with a non silver coin. Sounds like tin.

Check with the police if you really want to know its origin. Most likely a burgled home will document a stolen coin collection, burgled by 14 yr olds.

Silver coins,to a 14 yr old (13, 14, 15), are just another vehicle to wealth and fame.
