Ironically, on that same day, 4/13/13, only 186 miles south of Terre Haute, the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot will occur and the government won’t be buying anything “back” there. I can guarantee it.
It is in a nice Terre Haute neighborhood at a small shopping center across the street from a middle school, several churches and banks.
Importantly, it is good to know the desires of the people hoping to sell their guns. Often they are offered useless stuff they don’t want, like coupons to upscale stores with high prices.
So a good way to “outbid” those offers is to offer something they know, understand and like. It could be worth the same, or even *less*, if you know what they want.
For example, if they have a gun worth $400, the gun grabbers might offer them a $200 gift card to Target. But if you figure they like Big Macs, you could offer them a gift card for “one Big Mac a day for a whole 30 day month”.
Which at an average national price of $4.20 works out to $126. However, this might sound like a really good deal to them.
A 50 pound sack of rice or dried beans is about $50.
An 8 pound bucket of Snow Cap lard at Walmart is about $10.
