The federal courts have ruled that sheriffs are sovereign political offices. If the SS tries any fascist crap, they can be arrested for violating legal county ordinances and state laws. Then again, the criminal fascist syndicate occupying Washington obeys no law, and we should similarly refuse to obey their illegal fascist dictates.
I would question whether there are enough Secret Service personnel available to do any kind of enforcement. The SS only goes after counterfeiters and does presidential security. Usually, they need the help of local LEOs because they are so few in number. Is the SS is going to come into UT and tell the sheriffs what to do? Or...what? If the SS are stupid enough to attempt the use of force, they are going to fill FEMA body bags addressed, “Return to sender Barry Obama.”
