Better still is when you’ve moved beyond expensive accoutrements. What too many people do is go through the process of filling a big house with expensive stuff before they discover that small and simple is better.

You’re so right, Simplify. I’m a Thoreauvian and have been going minimalist.
Of course now I’m moving now and cleaning out even more — but moving to a much larger house, just when others downsize — more than I need but has great entertaining space and guest rooms.. It’ll look extremely minimalist when my stuff is spread out!
