Somewhere, Nixon must be wondering how it could have been this easy.

The common thread in the acceptance/denial of the two Presidents and their powers is the media. The Progressive media hated Nixon for jailing their Communist darling, Alger Hiss. The Washington Post made toppling his Presidency its central mission.

The Progressive media love Obama for muscling through the kind of totalitarian welfare state they've lusted for. With very few exceptions they'll support and defend his every attack on the Republican form of government.

Kudos to Jonathan Turley. The man has courage and integrity.

Absolutely nailed it.

Regarding Hiss, we'd been better off hanging him and rounding up his Leftwingtard fellow travelers and hanging them.

Today we'd have a few still kvetching about hanging a few hundred commies, but not as vigorously, nor as boldly!

“Kudos to Jonathan Turley. The man has courage and integrity.”

IIRC, when Orly took the case on a reserve Army Major Cook who refused to deploy because Barry was withholding his LFBC casting doubt on his eligibility and the Army discharged the man, Turley came out and said that the Army was wrong and should have litigated the matter “on the merits.”

http://jonathanturley.org/2009/07/19/retired-major-general-joins-litigation-over-obamas-birth-status/

“What is curious is the decision by the military to suddenly revoke the deployment orders of Cook. That served to fuel the growing movement spreading this rumor. The government is now claiming that the lawsuit is “moot” since Cook doesn’t have to go to Afghanistan. Cook in turn has added a claim to this lawsuit that he was retaliated against for his lawsuit after he was terminated at Simtech Inc., a Department of Defense contractor.

The addition of a retired major general and active colonel will have more of a promotional and legal benefit for these litigants. It was an unfortunate decision to revoke these orders. The Administration should have fought the lawsuit on the merits rather than try to moot the matter. The optics are perfect for those alleging a grand conspiracy to conceal Obama’s birth certificate (which has been viewed as third parties) and hide his alleged foreign born status.
