Totally worthless conjecture. When I say, “In writing,” I mean something like the bio put forth by Obama’s publisher, which stated that Obama was born in Kenya.
Can you show me where Obama’s publisher said he was born in Canada? No? Well, I’d say that the publisher’s bio wins, then.

About that bio put out by the publisher, 0 probably gave them the “fib du jour”.
Most likely he was telling people one thing depending on whether it would benefit him at the time.
Then something different at another time.
After a certain year NOTHING has been said about him being born in Kenya.
