So fewer than 1 in 4 Germans want to leave the Euro, and that’s in response to a poll question. In a real vote leaving the Euro would carry a far lower percentage.

The Germans have been the biggest winners from the existence of the Euro, and they know it, which is why they overwhelmingly, from this poll, would choose to remain inside it.

Well the Huns are sick and tired of watching their hard earned money go to lazy Greeks and Italians in return for which they get dissed.

I don't blame them.

The Germans fought two world wars trying to conquer Europe and finally succeeded with the E.U. If you asked, I would bet that they wish like hell they never got it done.

Euro is a mean for Germany to own EU. They have markets, resources etc. It cost Germans a lot in terms of wealth to keep freeloader nations afloat but still not near as much as they could spend to send panzers around. Lesser risk to end up bombed to a stone age by US and learn Russian as a consequences.
